The ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2019 is the 12th edition of the Cricket World Cup. This 12th edition will be host by England and Wales from 30 May to 14 July 2019.This is the 5th time when world cup will be held in England and Wales. The World Cup is the international championship of One Day International (ODI) cricket.

This Cup is organized by the sport’s governing body i.e. ICC International Cricket Council after every 4 years and one of the most viewed sporting events and most hash tag event in the international cricket calendar. The first 3 world cups were held in England also. After 1987, World Cup hosting has been shared among the different countries under an unofficial rotation system. The Cup is open to all members of the ICC, where highest ranking teams receive automatic qualification. The different editions have different number of competition teams and this 12th edition have only 10 teams as competiting teams.

Qualification

The 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup will feature 10 teams, a decrease from 2015 which had 14 teams. The hosting nation team i.e. England and other 7 highest ranking teams will automatically qualify the qualification and remaining 2 teams will be decided by 2018 World Cup Qualifier.
